E-Waste Recycling Program

Submitted by Charles on November 18, 2008 – 5:06 am6 Comments

Every year, more than 300 million pieces of electronics - computerscell phones, all kinds of gadgets - are SCRAPPED.

Whether they’re burned or dumped, they leak harmful toxins into the environment, contaminating our water, land and air.

Alex Lin, 14, installed the first ever e-waste receptacle in his town of Westerly, Rhode Island, and pushed for passage of laws banning the dumping of e-waste.

In generally recycling is helpful to keep our environment in safe. Fortunately, in my country e-waste problem is not current problem. On other hand the use of computer is confined to state offices and some private business centers. Especially the youth are not access to use it. There for we have program and project to access the youth to IT.
